Hardwood flooring is a classy and at the same time contemporary choice. With many species of wood and stains to choose from – it’s no wonder that hardwood is one of the most popular options for flooring. There are generally two main types of hardwood flooring:
Solid hardwood floors and Engineered Hardwood products are both made of wood. The main difference between solid and engineered floors is in the technology used in the manufacturing process. Solid hardwood flooring is made entirely of the same wood species and it is one, continuous wooden plank. Engineered Hardwood flooring products, by contrast, boast wider widths, longer lengths, and superior structural stability because it is made out of several layers of supporting wood (similar to plywood) with the top layer being a visually striking wear layer.
